Gracie was our
first Finnish Lapphund, and because of her our
lives have changed with more Finnish Lapphunds
and many new friends around the world.
We drove to Memphis, Tennesse, USA to get
her, and she has been a delight to have in our
family. Gracie was exactly what I read a FL
would be and more. She blended with our family
immediately. We have a big extended family and
everyone loved her right away.
In September 2004, Gracie became a UKC
CHAMPION! On July 6, 2007 Gracie made history by
becoming the first Finnish Lapphund at a
Canadian Kennel Club show to receive Best of
Breed! Then one year to the day Gracie became a
new CKC Champion Jul 4, 2008 at Portage La
Prairie Kennel club and even had a litter in
between. Thank you Michelle Rogowski who showed
her for her first points and her last needed
point.
Gracie is a very special FL in Canada. She is
well constructed with a beautiful head and
expression, balanced proportions and friendly
Lappie temperament. Her pedigree includes Kello
Reiji who is a proven sire with many outstanding
litters. Gracie’s
first litter was born Dec 18, 2006 and she
was a great mom.
Gracie’s
second litter of 6 surprised us with two
domino patterned boys. One just had to stay at
Shadagrace (Teemu).
She passed the CKC Herding Instinct Test Sep
09 and got the first leg to a CKC Herding title.
She certain can move when she sees sheep.
Gracie was to be spayed but surprised us and
came into season unexpectedly. We thought
it was meant to be when we found out Bruce (GrCh
Sugarok Born in the USA) was in town at the
right time. Her 3rd litter gave us 6
beautiful pups. One girl just had to stay,
Fergie.
